Description
Ivomectin-F is a broad-spectrum antiparasitic injectable solution containing a combination of ivermectin and clorsulon. The product is effective against trematodes, nematodes, and various ectoparasites. It is used for the treatment and control of parasitic diseases in cattle, sheep, and goats.
Composition
Each 1 ml injectable solution contains:
Ivermectin – 10 mg
Clorsulon – 100 mg
Target Species
Cattle, sheep, and goats.
Indications for Use
The product is indicated for the treatment of mixed infestations caused by trematodes, nematodes, and external parasites.
Trematodes
Liver flukes (Fasciola hepatica and Fasciola gigantica) – immature stages.
Gastrointestinal Nematodes
Ostertagia spp.
Haemonchus placei
Trichostrongylus spp.
Cooperia spp.
Oesophagostomum radiatum
Nematodirus spp.
Strongyloides papillosus
Chabertia spp.
Bunostomum phlebotomum
Lung Nematodes
Dictyocaulus viviparus (adult stages and fourth-stage larvae)
External Parasites
Hypoderma bovis
Hypoderma lineatum
Ticks
Biting lice
Mange mites
Sucking lice
Dosage and Administration
For subcutaneous injection only.
Cattle, Sheep and Goats
1 ml per 50 kg body weight.
Contraindications
Do not administer intravenously or intramuscularly.
Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to the active ingredients.
Adverse Reactions
Temporary discomfort may occur following subcutaneous administration.
Mild swelling or pain may occur at the injection site.
Hypersensitivity reactions may rarely occur.
Special Warnings
Administer only by subcutaneous injection.
To avoid local reactions, doses exceeding 10 ml should be divided between several injection sites.
For optimal control of Hypoderma lineatum, treatment is recommended immediately after the end of the fly season.
Use with caution during periods of larval migration.
Interactions with Other Medicinal Products
Do not use concurrently with:
Ketoconazole
Itraconazole
Cyclosporine
Calcium channel blockers
Diethylcarbamazine
Pregnancy and Lactation
The product is safe for use in pregnant and lactating animals.
Overdose
Significant overdose of ivermectin may result in:
Depression
Apathy
Ataxia
Recumbency
Death in severe cases
Treatment is symptomatic.
Withdrawal Period
Meat: 49 days.
Milk: Do not use in dairy animals producing milk for human consumption or in animals within two months before calving.
Presentation
100 ml injectable solution supplied in a clear glass vial sealed with a rubber stopper, aluminum cap, and tamper-evident plastic flip-off cap. Packed in a cardboard box.
Storage Conditions
Store in a dry place protected from light.
Store below 30°C.
Keep out of reach of children.
Shelf life: 3 years.
Shelf life after first opening: 28 days.
