Composition: 1 pill consists of 400g Albendazole.

Pharmacological activity: Anti-helminth activities of Albendazole are based on suppression of cycle of Fumarate Reductase – krebs enzymes, which influence energetic metabolism of parasites. It causes elimination of parasites. In case of some parasites Albendazole causes suppression of synthesis of tubular protein. Drug is active in every stage of helminth development.

Pharmacokinetics:

Albendazole is well-absorbed during peroral administration. About 47% of it is excreted via urine during nine days in the form of metabolites. No initial compounds are observed in plasma after peroral administration or it can be found only within the short period of time. After it effect becomes evident quickly.

Effect:

Dehemninthization of cattle, sheep, goats, swine, horses, other animals, hens including:
Cattle, sheep, goats:
Intestine nematodes – strongyloidosis;
Lung nematodes: dictyocaulosis; Cestodes – moniezuasis;
Trematodes: fasciliosis, dicroceliosis, paramphistomatisis;
Swine: Intestine nematodes – ascariasic, oesophagostomosis;
Poultry: Intestine nematodes – ascariasic, heter-acidosis;

Interrelation with other drugs:

It isn’t recommended to use together with diarrhea causing drugs;

Dosage:

Cattle, deer, camel wild ruminants - Intestine nematodes, lung nematodes, – 1 pill on 40kg b/w (10mg/kg); Cestodes –1 pill on 55kg b/w (7.5mg/kg); Trematodes - 1 pill on 30kg b/w (15 mg/kg)
Goats, sheep - Intestine nematodes, lung nematodes, cestodes– 1 pill on 40kg b/w (10mg/kg);
Swine - Intestine nematodes – 1 pill on 25 kg b/w (17 mg/kg);
Other animals - Intestine nematodes, cestodes -1 pill on 40kg b/w (10mg/kg);
Poultry - Intestine nematodes -1 pill on 25 kg b/w (17 mg/kg); Lung nematodes – 1 pill on 30kg b/w (5 mg/kg). Drug is given once in a peroral way, without diet, individually or in group together with food.

Side effect:

According to its toxicological characteristics Albeks belongs to the group of low-toxic compounds. No side-effects are reported even in case of increasing the dose three times.

Contraindications:

Given drug isn’t used in weak cattle, in case of severe fasciliosis and during the first third period of gestation.

Withdrawal time:

It is allowed to slaughter animals for usage of meat after 14 days from dehelminthation. Milk can be used after 5 days.

400g #100 pills are packed in polyethylene containers; 

Conditions and shelf life:

Drug is kept according to “B” list in the dry area, which is protected from light at the temperature of 20°c;

Shelf life – 3 years.
