Composition: 1 pill consists of 600mg active substance – Albendazole. Albendazole ([5-(prophysulfanil)-H-benzimidazole-2-il]carbamide) belongs to the group of benzimidazole.
Pharmacological activity: Anti-helminth activities of Albendazole are based on suppression of cycle of krebs enzymes - fumarate Reductase, which influence energetic metabolism of parasites. It causes elimination of parasites. In case of some parasites Albendazole causes suppression of synthesis of tubular protein. Drug is active in every stage of helminth development.
Pharmacokinetics:
Albendazole is well-absorbed during peroral administration. About 47% of it is excreted via urine during nine days in the form of metabolites. There are no initial compounds in plasma after peroral administration or it can be found only within the short period of time. After it effect becomes evident quickly.

Cattle, sheep, goats:
Intestine nematodes – strongyloidosis;
Lung nematodes: dictyocaulosis;
Cestodes – moniezuasis;
Trematodes: fasciliosis, dicroceliosis, paramphistomatisis;
Swine: Intestine nematodes – ascariasic, oesophagostomosis;
Poultry: Intestine nematodes – ascariasic, heteracidosis;
Interrelation with other drugs: It isn’t recommended to use together with diarrhea drugs;
Dosage: is given as a single oral dose without diet individually or in a group, together with food;
Cattle, deer, camel wild ruminants - Intestine nematodes – 1 pill 60kg b/w (10mg/kg) as a single dose; Lung nematodes – 1 pill 60kg b/w, single dose; Cestodes – oral administration, 1 pill 66kg b/w, single dose; Trematodes - oral administration, 1 pill 40kg b/w together with food as a single dose.
Goat, sheep - Intestine nematodes– 1 pill 60kg b/w, Lung nematodes – 1 pill 60kg b/w, Cestodes – 1 pill 60kg b/w, Trematodes -1 pill 40kg b/w.
Swine - Intestine nematodes – 1 pill 60kg b/w, Lung nematodes – 1 pill 60kg b/w.
Poultry - 1 pill 35kg b/w (17mg/kg), Lung nematodes – 1 pill 18kg b/w (33mg/kg);
Side effect:
According to its toxicological characteristics Albeks belongs to the group of low-toxic compounds. No side-effects are reported even in case of increasing the dose three times.
Contraindication:
Given drug isn’t used in weak cattle, in case of severe fasciliosis and during the first third period of gestation.
Withdrawal time:
It is allowed to slaughter animals for usage of meat after 14 days from dehelminthation. Milk can be used after 5 days.
