Composition:
1g of drug contains 0,445g diminazin diaceturat, antiprine - 0,548g; Vitamin B12 - 0,007g;
Pharmacological characteristics:
Diminazin diaceturat is effective against blood parasites such as babesias (Babesia bovis, babesia ovis), trypanosomiasis (Tr.congolense, Tr.vivax, Tr.brucei), theilerias (Theileira annulata). Drug effect is based on inhibition of synthesis of DNA and aerobic glycolysis of pathogenic protozoa. Antiprine is characterized with painkilling, temperature decreasing and anti-inflammatory activities.
Ciancobalamine (B12) promotes normal functioning of blood-producing organs. It strengthens erthropoiesis.
Effects:
Pirotex is used for treatment of blood parasite diseases of cattle, horses, sheep and dogs (trypanosomiasis, pyroplasmosis, babesias, hemosporidiosis, fransaieliosis and netalosis). It is also used for treatment and prevention of mixed invasions (pyroplasmosis and fransaieliosis);
Dosage:
Preparation: Injection water is added to vials with 1,57g Pirotex + B12 , 8,5ml or 2,36g Pirotex +B12. Solution is injected deeply in muscles. Pirotex + B12 with single dose of 1 ml on 20kg b/w is used for treatment purposes in cattle, horses and sheep, in case of prevention following dose is used - 1ml on 40kg b/w;
Side effect:
No side effects are reported, if used at the recommended dose. Dogs may have nervous symptoms in case of overdosing. Start symptom treatment in such cases;
Contraindication:
Increased sensitiveness to drug components;
Withdrawal time:
Meat can be used in 20-21 days, milk - in 3 days after the last administration of a drug;
Presentation:
Orange glass vials of 1,57g and 2,36g with Pirotex + B12;
Storage conditions and shelf life:
Drug is kept in dark area that is protected from light at 200 C temperatures.
