Desinfection solution

Composition:

1 ml contains 100mg povidone iodine; 1ml contains 10mg povidone iodine.

Chemical name: Oiodipole (1-ethenyl-2-pirrolidinon) iodide; Formula (C6-N9-N-O)n.xI.

Pharmacological characteristics:

Dark brown solution with specific smell; Iodsefi is a disinfection solution that is characterized with wide spectrum of anti-microbe activities. It is active against bacteria (gram-positive and gram-negative, including pasterella, salmonellla, echirecia coli, streptococcus, stafiloccocus, spirochaetes, corynebacterium, tuberculosis, micro-bacteria etc), fungus, viruses and protozoans. Iodine is gradually revealed in case of contact with skin and mucus and it reveals bacteriocide activities against micro-organisms. Thin colored layer is left on the area where povidone iodine is used, which is preserved until full release of iodine. After it its activity is ceased.

Bacteriocide effect is developed very quickly, generally in 15-60 seconds. In case of contact with skin and mucus iodine-polyvinil-pirrolidinon is quickly transformed into bacteriocide active iodine.

Usage:

Drug is used for antiseptic processing of wounds, singes, ulcers, tropical ulcers. It is used for disinfection of skin and mouth mucous coat. It is used in case of gynecological infective inflammatory diseases, for hygienic processing, for processing of skin and mucous cover before and after of operation. It is used during studies before and after diagnosis and in case of manipulations (infections, functions, taking blood test, biopsy etc). The drug can be used in case of infective dermatitis and fungi diseases, papilomas, and purulent diseases. It can be used for hygienic cleaning of medical staff or surgeon hands after contact with infected patient. It is used in gynecology in case of chronic vaginites, placenta detainment, endometrites, metrites, trichomonosis, candidosis. It is used for cleaning hands of medical staff and surgeon before and after the surgery. It can be used for disinfection of animal legs in case of malanders and necrobacilosis. It is used during manipulations before and after of castration. It can be used for disinfection of buildings, enterprises, canteens, medical institutions, boiler houses, water tanks, animal dwellings, incubators, poultry-yard etc.

Dosage: 10% solution.

- Disinfection of buildings - 1:100 - 1:200 dilution; 1 liter of solution is enough for processing 4m2 area, the same amount is enough for 100m3 area in case of spraying of fuming.

- Disinfection of buildings in case of existence of infection - 1:20 - 1:50 dilution;

- Iodisefi solution with 1:10 dilution is used for processing skin;

- Disinfection of legs and mouth - 1:100 - 150 dilution;

- 10% iodisefi solution that isn't diluted with water is used in case of fungal and bacterial infections of skin and mucous coat. It is greased on hurt area. After 1-2 minutes the area is washed with water;

1% solution-spray

1% solution-spray is used for hygienic processing of a patient, medical staff and surgeon, for disinfection of medical tool and equipments.

Contraindications

Hyperthyreosis, renal insufficiency, II and III periods of gestation, lactation II and III periods of pregnancy, high sensitivity to iodine;

Side effects:

Allergic reactions on iodine, (itching, hyperhemy); In such cases usage of drug must be stopped;

Relation with other drugs:

It is incompatible with disinfectants that contain alkali, ferments and argentums. Its effects are lowered with acids.

Special indication:

It isn't recommended to use iodysefi for disinfection of endoscopies and endoscope equipments.

Safety measures:

It isn't allowed to drink iodysefi. Contact with eyes is harmful. In case of contact with eyes wash them well.

How supplied:

10% solution in 1litre, 100ml and 20ml polyethylene containers;

1% spray-solution in 50ml polyethylene containers;

Storage conditions and shelf life:

Working solution is prepared before usage. It isn't allowed to keep prepared solution for a long time. Solution must have dark brown color. Lack of color indicates to ineffectiveness of the drug. Light and 40°C temperature hastens dissolution of active substances. Drug is kept in dry and dark area at 20°C temperature. Keep out of reach of children. Shelf life - 2 years;
