Composition:

 


1 liter

Enrofloxacin ---------------------------100mg.

 


Pharmacological characteristics:

 


Drug belongs to flourine-quinolone group. It is anti-bacterial medicine with wide spectrum of activities. It is active in relation with gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, including Echerichia coli, Haemophilus spp., Klebsiella spp., Pasteurella spp., Pseudomonas spp., Bordetella spp., Campylobacter spp., Erysipelothrix spp., Corynebacterium spp., Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp.,  Actinobacillus spp., Clostridium spp., Bacteroides spp., Chlamydia spp., Rickettsia spp.,  Mycoplasma spp.

 


Mechanism of drug activity is based on suppression of DNA-gyraze enzyme, which is catalyst of replication in the bacterial cell nuclei.

 


Pharmacokinetics:

 


Drug is absorbed well via intestine tract after peroral administration. It reaches maximal consternation in 1.5-2 hours and this condition is maintained for 6 hours. Therapeutic concentration is preserved for 24 hours. It is partially metabolized in Ciprofloxacin.

 


It is spread in organs and excreted via faeces and bile.

 


Effects:

 


Broilers and rearing flocks: Infective diseases caused by microorganisms that are sensitive to drug:

- Colibacteriosis;

- Salmonelosis;

- Streptococosis;

- Micoplasmosis.

It is used in broiler and rearing flocks: in case of mixed infective diseases and secondary infections in case of viral diseases.

 


Dosage:

 


Drug is designed for peroral administration. It is given to chicken during 3 days. In case of salmonelosis it is given for 5 days.

Solution is made according to following ratio: 0.5ml of drug with 1 liter of water.

Solution is prepared considering chicken's daily demand of water. During the treatment period hens must be given only the water that containing drug.

 


Side effects:

 


No side effects are reported, if drug is given according to recommendations.

 


Contraindications:

 


It isn't allowed to give drug to egg-layer hens;

Increased sensitivity to cinolone;

 


Special indications:

 


It isn't recommended to give medicine together with chloranphenicole, macrolides and tetracycline due to antagonistic effect.

 


Animals can be slaughtered for purpose of meat consumption after 11 days from the last administration of the medicine. If animals are slaughtered earlier that the indicated time, meat can be used as a food for furry animals or it can be used for production of meat and bone powder.

Drug is kept in dry place that is protected from light at the maximum temperature of +5 - 250C.
