Injection solution - transparent, yellow color;  

Composition:

Oxitetracycline dehydrate ----- 200mg.

Pharmacological characteristics:

It is tetracicline group antibiotic with wide spectrum of antibacterial activities. It is active against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria such as: Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Pasteurella spp., Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp.

Pharmacokinetics: Oxitetracycline is well absorbed from the place of injection and reaches all organs and tissues quickly.

Maximal concentration of drug in blood is reached after 3-6 hours from injection. Therapeutic concentration of drug in blood is retained for 72-96 hours.

It is excreted from organism mainly via bile and a very little amount is excreted via urine.

Effects:

Treatment of infective diseases of cattle, swine, sheep and goats including: bronchopneumonia, colibacteriosis, salmonelosis;

Dosage:

Drug is injected in muscles once in three days with 20mg/kg bodyweight or 1 ml on 10kg b/w;

Side effects:

No side effects are reported, if drug is administered in a recommended dose;

Contraindications:

High sensitivity to tetracycline group drugs; It isn't allowed to use drug in dogs, cats and horses;

Special directives:

It isn't allowed to use drug together with corticosteroids and esterogenes. It isn't recommended to use drug with antibiotics of penicillin and cephalosporine group.

It is allowed to slaughter animals for meat consumption purposes after 22 days from stopping giving the medicine. If animals are slaughtered earlier than this period, their meat can be used as food for furry animals after thermal processing or for production of meat and bone powder.

It isn't allowed to use milk which is obtained from cows during treatment with Oxitetracycline 200 and 7 days after the last injection. Such milk can be used as a food for animals after thermal processing.

General rules of personal hygiene and safety technique that are needed when working with veterinary products must be observed when working with Oxitetracycline 200.

It isn't allowed to use drug package for packing of food;

Presentations:

Dark glass vials of 10ml, 50ml and 100ml with hermetic cork and aluminum cap;

Storage conditions and shelf life:

List B; Drug is kept in dry area that is protected from light and direct sunrays at 5-25⁰C temperature.

Shelf life - 3 years;

Opened vial must be used during 24 hours;
