For disinfection of veterinary supervision facilities and prevention of infectious diseases of animals

Dosage form: Granulated disinfection powder, for disinfection of veterinary supervision facilities and prevention of infectious diseases of animals.

Composition: 1 gram contains: 500mg Potassium peroxymonosulfate (triple salt)
Excipient: dedocylbenzon of sodium sulfonate, organic acids (sodium chloride,

sodium polyphosphate), paint azo dyestuff and cytrone.

Description: Pink-grey powder with lemon flavor, easily soluble in water. Solution has no corrosive action and doesn’t have a negative impact on the surface that is to be treated.

Presentation: 50g packed in laminated foil paper into 25 units and placed in the carton boxes; 1kg and 2,5kg in laminated foil paper packages;

Therapeutic group: anti-microbe, disinfection agent;

Pharmacological characteristics

It is characterized with wide spectrum anti-microbe activity against bacteria, viruses (including those that cause African swine fever and avian flu) and fungi. It has a strong oxidizing effect. Organic acids create acidic area together with non-organic buffer and promote disinfection activities of potassium peroxymonosulfates. It is also effective in hard water and in case of organic pollution and at a low environmental temperature.

Ecocid S belongs to group of moderately hazardous substances (3rd class of hazardousness). It has no sensitizing and local skin irritation activities if administered at recommended concentration Ir causes weak irritation of mucous membrane.

Indications

It is used for preventive and forced (current conclusive) disinfection of:

•   Cattle-breeding, swine-breeding, animal breeding, poultry-breeding areas including treatment of technological equipment and machines at hatching unit;

•   Food production departments and other assistance facilities of cattle-breeding where technical equipment and machinery is placed;

•   Areas and technological equipment of meat production and poultry meat product processing; Treatment of sanitary slaughter-houses at meat factories and buildings of

slaughter houses, milk blocks at cattle farms and complexes, egg storage areas,

containers designated for keeping of animal products and transportation of food;

•   Vehicle and railway carriages and other transports that are used for transportation of

  animals, materials of animal origin and products;

•   Storages, areas, buildings and equipment at the places crowded with animals (animal

  markets, exhibitions);

•   Equipment, machines, tools and laboratory vessels at veterinary institutions (clinics,

  laboratories, animal rooms, shelters);

•   It is used for treatment of surfaces of animal houses, cages and equipment (dog and cat

  facilities, zoo and circus);

•   It is used for treatment of water designated for animals and water supply system.

  It is used in enterprises where HACCP system is established or is being established.

  Rules of usage

  Disinfection by means of working solution of Ecocid S is carried out during absence of animals in a wet way (sprinkle, cleaning, immersion into solution) or by means of aerosols.

- Wet or aerosol preventive or compulsory disinfection is used in case of bacterial infections (except for tuberculosis), infections with fungal and viral etiology. Wet or aerosol disinfection is used on surfaces and equipment that are cleaned in advance. 1% Ecocid S solution is used in barriers and layers. Disinfection is carried out by means of 3% solution in case of African swine fever.

- 4% working solution of Ecocid S is used for thermal aerosol disinfection (preventive and compulsory) of supportive spaces designated for cattle-breeding, hatching units, spaces designated for processing and keeping of animal food and products, slaughter points.

- 0.5% working solution is used for disinfection of animal drinking water supply sistem.

Preparation of disinfection solution

50g granulated powder is dissolved in 5 liter water for preparation of 1% working solution. It is recommended to use warm water in order to ensure rapid solution of drug. When preparing big amount of solution 1kg is dissolved in 100 liter water.

50g is dissolved in 10 liter water for preparation of 0.5% working solution or 1 kg is dissolved in 200 liter water for thermal aerosol disinfection.

Aerosol stabilizer (monopropylene glycoland other) is mixed with water in case of preparation of 4% working solution, 15 units of stabilizer are mixed with 85 units of water, then 4 units of Ecocid S is added to the solution.

Personal security measures

Personnel shall wear special clothes and personal security equipment while working with Ecocid S and its solutions. Drinking, eating and smoking is prohibited during the process. Contact of powder with skin and eyes and getting into breathing system shall be avoided during preparation of solution. In case of dropping of powder the area shall be swept and washed thoroughly with running water.

Empty Ecocid S containers shall not be used for household purposes. It is kept at at specially allocated area and its utilization shall be carried out together with household waste.

Storage conditions

It is kept in a closed package at a dry place that is protected from sun rays at 00C-300C temperature.

Keep out of reach of children. Shelf-life: 3 years

Drug can be used within 28 days from the moment of opening of package. Working solution retains activity for 4-7 days.
