Indications for Use

The veterinary medicinal product D-Clopan is used to increase, regulate, and treat reproductive function in cows, sows, heifers, female rabbits, and female cats, including:

• Induction and synchronization of the estrous cycle

• Treatment of functional ovarian disorders (persistent corpus luteum, luteal and follicular cysts)

• Functional disorders of the ovaries during postpartum and anestrus periods

• Prevention and treatment of postpartum uterine diseases (endometritis, pyometra)

• Termination of pregnancy in cases of fetal pathologies

Method of Administration and Dosage

Estrous cycle synchronization and induction

• Cows and heifers (after reaching physiological maturity):
  Intramuscular injection of 2 mL per animal, twice, with a 10-day interval.

• In absence of estrus signs:
  Repeat administration at the same dose on day 11 after the first injection.
  For optimal results, insemination should be performed during the first estrus after treatment.

• Sows and replacement gilts (without estrus signs):
  0.7 mL per animal, single administration.

• Induction of farrowing in sows:
  0.7–1 mL per animal, single administration, 3 days before estrus or on days 113–114 of gestation.

• Heifers:
  1 mL, single administration, applied between days 5–13 of the estrous cycle;
  optimal insemination period is 4–6 days after administration.

• Female rabbits:
  0.2–0.3 mL, single administration; insemination after 24–48 hours.

• Female cats:
  0.2 mL, single administration; insemination after 24 hours.

Treatment of functional ovarian disorders

(Luteal cysts and persistent corpus luteum):

• 2 mL per animal, single administration immediately after diagnosis.

Prevention and treatment of postpartum uterine subinvolution and endometritis

• Cows:
  2 mL per animal, single administration 6–12 hours after calving.

• Sows:
  0.7 mL per animal, 2–4 hours after farrowing.

Treatment of endometritis in cows

• 2 mL per animal at any stage of gestation.
  Used in combination with symptomatic therapy.
  If necessary, repeat the dose 10–12 days after the first administration.

Termination of pregnancy due to fetal pathology

(at any stage of gestation):

• 2 mL per animal, single administration.

Induction of parturition

• Intramuscular injection of 1 mL per animal;

• Sows – from day 111 of gestation.

Withdrawal Period

• Slaughter for meat is allowed 48 hours after the last injection.

• Milk may be used for human consumption without restrictions.

Storage Conditions

Store in a dry place, protected from light, at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C.
