Apsa Vita – C 250
Vitamin C 25% Oral Solution
Composition (per 1 ml):
Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) – 250 mg
Solvent – up to 1 ml
Pharmacological group: Vitamin preparation, antioxidant
Increase resistance to infectious diseases
Improve growth and productivity
Reduce stress (vaccination, transportation, heat stress, feed changes)
Support recovery during diarrhea, disease, intoxication
Antioxidant action
Laying hens
In intensive production and stressful conditions, animals’ need for vitamin C exceeds the capacity of endogenous synthesis. Apsa Vita C 250 reduces the negative consequences of production stress, decreases metabolic and physiological manifestations of stress, and improves immune competence and flock health.
Studies have shown:
5% increase in egg-laying rate
20% improvement in egg production under heat stress (compared with control)
Significant increase in egg weight (1–5%) during summer usage
Prevention of poor eggshell quality associated with high salt concentration in drinking water
Main properties:
Improves blood coagulation and supports healthy liver, heart, and muscles
Strengthens blood vessels (prevents fragility) and muscles
Enhances reproductive performance due to antioxidant properties
Stabilizes unsaturated fatty acids, prevents cellular dysfunction (antioxidant effect)
Supports the immune system against infections and parasites
Promotes tissue formation, bone growth, and reduces stress sensitivity during vaccination, disease, transport, high humidity, and temperature extremes
Poultry farming (general):
Enhances antioxidant action by neutralizing free radicals generated under stress. Maintains optimal vitamin C levels for proper bone development.
Protects sperm cells from oxidative damage, improving fertility. Antioxidant effect benefits embryos, particularly under high incubation temperatures.
Broilers and turkeys:
Reduces severity of metabolic stress symptoms, improves immune competence and productivity. Enhances cellular immunity and antibody production before and during treatments, reduces injuries and mortality.
Combined with citric acid and phytase, improves weight gain and feed conversion.
Swine:
Absorbed efficiently (≈80%) in the small intestine, distributed to all tissues. Plays an important role in male reproduction (testosterone synthesis, sperm production, maturation).
Vitamin C requirements increase under pathological conditions (parasitic, infectious diseases, tumors) and stress (especially heat stress).
Ruminants:
Parenteral administration is recommended in stress conditions. Acts as an antioxidant, protecting cells from free radical damage, and regulates steroid synthesis.
