Composition
Each 1 ml of solution contains:
Active substance:
Deltamethrin – 10 mg
Description
A colorless, yellowish, or yellow transparent, homogeneous, slightly viscous solution with a characteristic odor.
Pharmacological Properties
The product is a highly effective insecticidal preparation belonging to the synthetic pyrethroid group.
It exhibits rapid insecticidal and repellent activity against ectoparasites, including:
mange mites,
ixodid ticks,
lice,
fleas,
biting lice,
flies,
mosquitoes,
and other ectoparasites.
The mechanism of action is based on blocking the transmission of nerve impulses, causing impaired motor coordination, paralysis, and death of the parasite.
According to the degree of hazard, the product belongs to Hazard Class III (moderately hazardous substances).
When used at recommended doses, it does not produce local irritation, resorptive-toxic, or allergic effects.
It is effective against ectoparasites resistant to organophosphorus and organochlorine compounds.
Indications
The product is intended for the treatment of cattle against ectoparasites, including:
mange mites,
ixodid ticks,
lice,
fleas,
biting lice.
The product also provides a repellent effect against flying insects.
Contraindications
Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to the components of the product.
Do not use in sick, weakened, or emaciated animals.
Adverse Reactions
When used according to the instructions, adverse reactions and complications are generally not observed.
In case of individual hypersensitivity (itching, redness), treatment should be discontinued. If necessary, antihistamines and symptomatic therapy should be administered.
Target Species
Cattle.
Method of Administration
The product is intended for external use.
Apply along the spine (from the withers to the base of the tail) using a drip application method with a special dosing device (semi-automatic syringe, Janet syringe, or disposable syringe).
Dosage:
Young cattle: 10 ml per 100 kg body weight (1 ml per 10 kg)
Adult cattle weighing 200 kg and above: maximum 20 ml per animal
Therapeutic Use
Treat only infested animals.
The best results are obtained with a single treatment in spring before animals are turned out to pasture.
The protective effect lasts for at least 30 days after treatment.
Preventive Use
Animals should be treated during the flight season of hypodermosis-causing parasites, throughout the summer months, or during periods of heavy tick infestation at intervals of 4–6 weeks.
Before mass treatment, it is recommended to test the product on 3–5 animals of different ages and body conditions.
If no adverse reactions are observed within 48 hours, treatment of the entire herd may be performed.
Special Precautions
Special precautions for use in target species
No specific effects have been identified after the first administration or withdrawal of the product.
Avoid missing scheduled treatments, as this may reduce therapeutic efficacy.
If one treatment is missed, administer the product as soon as possible without changing the treatment interval thereafter.
Special precautions for the person administering the veterinary medicinal product
Observe standard personal hygiene and safety precautions when handling veterinary medicinal products.
If the product comes into contact with the skin or eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water.
After use, wash hands and face thoroughly with soap and warm water.
Empty containers must not be reused for household purposes and should be disposed of properly.
Pregnancy and Lactation
Do not use during the last third of pregnancy.
During the nursing period, the use of the product should be determined by the attending veterinarian after evaluating the benefit-risk ratio.
Overdose
Symptoms of overdose have not been established.
Interaction with Other Medicinal Products
Simultaneous use with other insecticides is not recommended.
Withdrawal Period
Animals may be slaughtered for human consumption not earlier than 24 hours after treatment.
Milk: no withdrawal period (zero days).
Storage Conditions
Store in the manufacturer's original tightly closed container in a dry place protected from light, separately from food products, at a temperature of 5°C to 30°C.
Shelf Life
3 years from the date of manufacture when stored in the original unopened package.
Do not use after the expiry date.
Disposal
Unused product should be disposed of in accordance with applicable legislation.
