Cloxamax
Cloxamax is an intramammary antibacterial veterinary preparation used for the treatment of acute and chronic mastitis in cattle and small ruminants. The combination of amoxicillin and cloxacillin provides broad-spectrum antibacterial activity and prolonged therapeutic action.

Composition
Each 1 ml contains:
Amoxicillin trihydrate – 25 mg
Cloxacillin sodium – 25 mg
Excipients:
Petrolatum
Sunflower oil
Description
White to yellowish oily suspension with a characteristic odor. Layer separation may occur during storage.
Indications
Cloxamax is indicated for the treatment of:
Acute and chronic mastitis in cattle;
Acute and chronic mastitis in sheep and goats.
Dosage and Administration
Shake well before use.
Cattle
Administer 10 ml intramammarily into each affected quarter every 12–24 hours.
Sheep and Goats
Administer 5 ml intramammarily into each affected quarter every 12–24 hours.
During the Dry Period
Administer 10 ml intramammarily into each affected quarter 10–14 days after the last milking.
Administration Instructions
Before administration, completely empty the affected quarter (discard the milk) and disinfect the teat. Carefully insert the cannula into the teat canal and administer the product. After administration, pinch the teat canal closed for 1–2 minutes and gently massage the udder.
Withdrawal Period
Milk: May be used for human consumption 2 days after the last treatment.
Presentation
10 ml single-dose polyethylene syringe.
Storage Conditions
Store in a dry place protected from light at 10–20°C.
Keep out of reach of children.
