Composition (per 1 L):
Dextrose – 400 g
Sodium chloride – 100 g
Potassium chloride – 33 g
Calcium chloride – 13 g
Magnesium chloride – 5 g
Citric acid – 10 g
Pharmacological properties:
APSA Rehydrasal is an ideal product for the prevention and treatment of heat stress and dehydration. It is used to stabilize electrolyte balance, increases water intake, supplies the body with energy, and reduces mortality. It promotes weight gain and improves feed intake. Citric acid lowers water pH and acts as a catalyst.
Dextrose: Metabolized via two pathways: anaerobic (in cytoplasm, with moderate effect) and aerobic (in mitochondria, releasing large amounts of energy).
Sodium chloride: Essential for proper water balance and blood pH regulation. Together with potassium, balances extracellular fluids. Easily absorbed in the small intestine and transported via the bloodstream to the kidneys for filtration. Regulates digestion, has a calming effect, prevents muscle tremors, maintains blood fluidity, and assists in carbon dioxide elimination.
Potassium chloride: Regulates nutrient transport in cellular reactions and participates in intracellular metabolism. Helps maintain water balance, facilitates fluid transfer across cell membranes, essential for normal heart rhythm and nervous function. Absorbed from the intestine, accumulates in kidneys. Important for adrenal gland function, enzyme activity, muscle contraction, blood pressure regulation, nerve impulse transmission, and skin health. Stimulates metabolism, has spasmolytic and antidepressant properties.
Calcium chloride: Plays many roles in the body, including bone and tooth formation and muscle development. Supports normal blood clotting and stabilizes multiple body functions.
Magnesium chloride: Essential in the metabolism of calcium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, and vitamins B, C, and E. Important for testosterone and progesterone production. Reduces nervous tension, regulates body temperature and blood pressure. Its balance with calcium ensures proper joint function.
Citric acid: Maintains acid-base balance during dehydration and is useful for symptomatic treatment of gastrointestinal disorders.
