Composition:

Each ml contains: Penicillin G procaine - 200, 000 I.U; Dihydrostreptomycin sulfate - 250mg; Betamethasone - 0.5 mg; Chlorpheniarmine maleate - 8mg; Procaine hydrochloride - 15mg; Excipient q.s.

Pharmacological characteristics:

Synergetistic association of penicillin G procaine of slow absorption and dihydrostreptomycin, presented in injection suspension ready to administer intramuscularly; Penicillin G procaine rapidly produces high blood levels that last 24 hours. Dihydrostreptomycin sulfate complements and enhances the antimicrobial action. They are active against Clostridium spp, Corynebacterium spp, Haemophilus spp, Klebsiella pneumoinae,staphylococci and streptococci. Chlorpheniramine maleate acts as desensitizer, antihistaminic and improver of respiratory processes. Betamethasone acts as anti-inflammatory.

Effects:

Cattle, swine, horses, sheep, goats, dogs and cats:

Treatment of bacterial infections caused by germs sensitive to the association penicillin-dihydrostreptomycin sulfate;

Dosage:

Aseptic measures must be kept during administration of dose. Treatment duration is determined by the veterinarian based on severity of disease. The average dose is three days. The dose is determined by a veterinary.

1-1.5ml per 10kg of body weight for 3-4 days and:

Cattle and horses: 15-25ml per animal daily;

Swine: 10-12ml per animal daily;

Dogs and cats: 0.5-2 ml per animal daily;

Intramuscular route;

Treatment must be stopped immediately in case of overdosing and symthom treatment must be carried out;

Side effects:

Allergic reactions may appear in sensitized animals and they will be treated with antihistaminics and/or corticosteroids.

Contraindications:

Is contraindicated in animals that are sensitive to any component of drug;

Interactions:

Not described.

Warning:

Use at the end of gestation (last third) can advance parturition in cattle.

Withdrawal time:

Meat: 30 days; Milk: 3 days (6 milking). It isn't administered in horses producing meat for human consumption.

Storage conditions:

Drug is kept in dry and cool area that is protected from light. Keep out of reach of children at +8⁰C - +15⁰C temperature.
